Address: Any McDonald’s in Singapore

Ok..I just had a 2.4 km training run. My time wasn’t fantastic. I am concerned that I may fail my IPPT and be subjected to many weeks of Remedial Training. And thus I am feeling absolutely crabby now. Not to mention that I am quite a sucker for fast food which obviously doesn’t do much for any fitness/running regime.

It was a rare occasion for me to patronise the fast food joint on a morning. I was cutting it close, however. There I was 2nd in line at the counter. The time was 10.55am. The breakfast menu ends at 11am sharp. The couple in front of me seemed normal. Until..they started deliberating on what they should have right at the counter….

“should we have the iced milo dear?”
“no lar…orange juice is better..”
“how about tea..something hot..”
“I don’t mind..coffee”
“come boy…what do you want for breakfast?” they gestured to their kid sitting at their table…
“wtf..wtf..wtf..wtf…” that was me screaming in my head.

Anyway, they completed their transactions at 11.03am. As I approached the counter with some apprehension, the counter staff started to replace all the breakfast menu boards with the normal day menu.

“wtf..wtf..wtf..wtf…” I screamed in my head again. Which stopped when my order for breakfast was accepted.
“heng ah…”.

So there you have it. McDonald’s Bagel with Omelette meal (S$5.65). Ham, cheese, hash brown, beverage of choice. And an additional 475 kcal of energy to be expended. sigh.
