Seah Street Deli
Address: Raffles Hotel, Singapore
I will venture to say that if you are looking for an moderately priced eating place in the swanky Raffles Hotel (the grand dame of fine accommodations in Singapore), you should proceed to the Seah Street Deli.
The place takes on a look of an American Diner. There were jukeboxes, serviette holders, red neon lightings in the eatery (i don’t really understand…put the same red neon lightings on the sighboards located outside an eating establishment…and you would be inclined to call it tacky and “obiang”).

My eyes lit up when I saw the bottle of mustard at our table. I love mustard. I am inclined to put mustard on anything that is fried. It is the condiment of choice for me.

Mozzarella Cheese Sticks with the Salsa Dip. Look at the oodles of fried cheese. It is bound to get the spirits up.

Our Clam Chowder came in a bread bowl. This is environmental friendly measures that I can identify with. I would propose that all soup containers be made out of bread henceforth.

Our main was the Granny’s Omelette (or something like that…I don’t know about you but my grandmother certainly didn’t cook eggs in such a way). The omelette had ham, onions, more cheese and a hash brown inside. It was very satisfying to have a breakfast item as a meal in the middle of the day.
