World Cup 2006
A time for bookies, punters, idol worshippers, football fanatics, bored people, lonely people, bored and lonely people to rejoice. Hours and hours of precious time spent on apparently meaningless activities of cheering/jeering a group of people playing with a leather ball a few thousand of kilometres away.
I will be one of those people. Due to the fact that I am too principled (and cheap) to subscribe to the bloody monopoly of a cable network in Singapore, I will be spending a considerable amount of time lounging at my friends’ residences. To placate the owner, some tribute of junk food would be necessary.
Ta da….

Chips, salsa, japanese type ice cream (total cost…under S$20, I think).
By the way, Singapore’s sporting authorities had made a target of having our national team reach the World Cup in the year 2010. I will be watching…
